A while ago I had the privilage to photograph a herd of Tori horses. Tori is an Estonian heavy breed that is now endangered due to cross-breeding the purebred mares with lighter type horses, mainly Hanoverian and Trakehner.
This is an approved light-type Tori (3/4 Hanoverian) stallion Arhippos 13 535 T. Even with his rather lazy show of canter he is quite magnificent! Pyhäselkä, Finland, May 2009. |
